About Event

Kick-off PNW Climate Week 2026 with groundbreaking climate science! Join UW College of the Environment for a high‑energy, fully virtual talk and Q&A with Professor Cecilia Bitz.

Professor Bitz is one of the world’s go‑to experts on Arctic climate change. She digs deep into how melting sea ice reshapes global systems, and builds the models that help us predict what’s coming next. As an NSF and NOAA‑funded research leader, she’s pushing the science that policymakers rely on, including briefing the U.S. Senate on Arctic risks. Her work sits at the front line of climate action.

This event will be fully virtual. The platform is still being finalized. We’ll update the link on this page and notify all registrants a few days beforehand.
