Debatable Book Club I: Black History Month Edition (In-Person)

​Most book clubs are one meeting where everyone says they liked it and then it's just drinks.

​We read one book together over the month, check in together while we're still reading, then meet in person/online at the end to actually debate about it.

​For October we're reading for Black History Month. We will be deciding the book through a poll in our group chat

​How It Works

​Saturday 31 October, 16:00 - 17:30, In Person, Central London
The main event. What we liked, what we didn't, and debating the ideas underneath it properly.

​A Few Things Worth Knowing

​You don't need to finish the book. Come to all three sessions anyway, half-read opinions are still opinions.

​No expertise required. You don't need to have studied this, or read around it, or have a take ready. Showing up curious is enough.

​Attack the idea, never the person. That's the only rule we're strict about.

​This is a small room on purpose. If you sign up and can't make it, please release your spot so someone else can take it.

​Debatable is a space for better conversations, past the small talk and past the echo chamber. We're not here to win arguments. We're here to have the ones worth having.
