The Algorists — Jean-Pierre Hébert + Roman Verostko
Special guest: James Merrill
The exhibition brings together works by Jean-Pierre Hébert and Roman Verostko, who founded “the Algorists“ in 1995 – a pioneering movement of artists who created art through their own algorithmic procedures, distinguishing them from those who rely on existing software.
Their foundational works are complemented by two plotter drawings by James Merrill, who works in the tradition of the Algorists.
Exhibition opening on Friday, September 4, 6–9 pm as part of Berlin New Media Week with an introduction by Wolf Lieser.
On view through October 31
