Conscious Tech Collective present: Deep Meditative States, tFUS and the Future of Neurotech w/ Joshua Cain

We're excited to invite Joshua Cain Ph.D., tFUS expert, neurotech entreprener and IACS scientist to come speak with us!
You can expect:
A brief history of Josh's academic career and an overview of the emerging non-invasive brain-stimulation method called Low Intensity Focused Ultrasound (LIFU) or a bit more commonly called: transcranial focused ultrasound (tFUS), I can give an overview and be there to answer questions. He will also do a brief pitch of his stealth startup and is aiming to get some feedback + connecting to funding.
What is CTC? We are a multidisciplinary group of innovators from neuroscience, Brain Computer Interface (BCI), Human Computer Interaction design (HCI), psychotherapy, arts, plant medicine, somatic healing, and other ancient wisdom practices interested in building a holistic Wellbeing Economy that's regenerative, life-sustaining, and positive sum. There are currently about ~90 of us physically located around the world. Across academic, industry, and startup contexts. We gather weekly in person in San Francisco.
Together, we explore shared concerns and curiosities about the impact of a new wave of emerging technologies on human well-being: from AI to next-gen biosensors (such as BCI), and others. We aim to channel technology's power to heal our connections to Self, Each other, and the Planet.
We advocate for systems change - positive futures where Technology and Capital support human and planetary flourishing. Not the other way around. Conscious tech means:
1. Technology that helps to expand individual and collective consciousness towards mindful love and compassion (e.g. mental health tech, tech for wisdom) and abundance.
2. Technology that's crafted with mindful conscious intentions and processes (e.g. calm tech, ambient computing) and a truly life-centric orientation, minding the complex systemic dynamics that a product and service reside in.
