Circular Cities Co-hosted with Gensler
Please note that the event is sold out on this platform, but you can head to SPUR's event page to register.
Join SPUR and Gensler for a discussion on The Circular Economy, a resource and production model designed to reform our economy by reducing material usage, reusing materials, and recycling to minimize waste. Buildings, in particular, are a major contributor to carbon emissions and material consumption, making them a key area of focus for circular economy practitioners. The Netherlands is at the forefront of circular innovation, with private sector entrepreneurs and public sector policymakers leading the way in circular design and economy-wide coordination.
During this panel, SPUR will engage with practitioners from both the Netherlands and the US to explore how San Francisco and other cities in the Bay Area can reuse and repurpose our built environment, reduce waste, and create new markets that incentivize circular innovation.
