About the Event
Join us for the Claude Community Caribbean Impact Lab, a full-day civic hackathon focused on using AI and open-source tech to solve real-world challenges in our region.
In partnership with local civic and non-profit leaders, teams will work directly on an impactful challenge statement provided by our partner. Over 6–8 hours of focused building, participants will construct open-source prototypes aimed at delivering immediate, day-one value. All deliverables will be open-sourced and donated to our partner organization.
Who Should Apply?
We are looking for a balanced mix of technical builders, designers, domain experts, and non-technical problem solvers.
Developers & AI Builders: Build, prototype, and ship functional agents/tools with $100 in Anthropic API credits.
Domain Experts & Non-Technical Contributors: Lead domain strategy, refine workflow logic, craft readable communications, and direct solution design.
Note: Registrations are application-based to ensure balanced, cross-functional teams. You may register as a team of 4–5 or apply individually to be paired ahead of time. Space is Limited
Perks & Support
$100 in API Credits: Provided to every participant for building during the sprint.
Grand Prize: 1 month of Claude Max 20x for all 5 members of the winning team.
Direct Partner Impact: Winning solutions will be connected directly with our partner organization for production deployment.
What to Bring
Laptop & Charger (At least one member per team is recommended to have an active Claude Max plan).
GitHub Account (All projects must be pushed to a public GitHub repository).
Problem-Solving Mindset (No pre-work is permitted prior to 10:15 AM).

Pre-formed Teams: Teams are capped at 4–5 members.
Cancellations: Space is strictly limited. If your plans change, please cancel your Luma registration at least 48 hours prior so we can fill your spot from the waitlist.
