Interactive Exhibition: Lekgotla La Dikakapa
This year’s Design Week Johannesburg will see the launch of Lekgotla La Dikakapa, an immersive collective installation at Naledi Farm that brings together film, fashion, visual arts, food, and cultural dialogue.
Translating to “a council of champions”, Lekgotla La Dikakapa celebrates collaboration and African storytelling through a multi-sensory experience. The installation will feature acclaimed creatives including Floyd Avenue (fashion designer), Marks Dube (filmmaker), Seethestylist (fashion stylist), Naledi Farm Chefs (culinary innovators), Itumeleng Kwele (creative director and curator), Laud Pulse (design platform), and Levy Pooe (visual artist).
Guests will experience a fusion of film screenings, fashion installations, contemporary art, and a curated food journey, culminating in a panel discussion exploring the future of African creativity, sustainability, and design. Lekgotla La Dikakapa promises to be one of Design Week’s defining highlights—an inspiring convergence of culture, collaboration, and innovation.
The interactive exhibition will be open everyday to the public from 11 AM to 5 PM from the 9 to the 12 of October.
