About Event

This workshop dives deeper into building with Solidity and Rust in the Polkadot ecosystem — from understanding its architecture to developing production-ready smart contracts and agent-based applications.

🕗 20:00 – Utkarsh (Software Engineer, Parity Technologies)

Topic: Polkadot for Solidity Developers
Utkarsh will introduce how Solidity developers can leverage Polkadot’s infrastructure, architecture, and tooling to expand beyond traditional EVM environments.

🕣 20:30 – Tin Chung (DevRel Lead, OpenGuild)

Topic: Building Agents on Polkadot
Tin Chung will explore how to build intelligent agents on Polkadot, unlocking new design patterns and automation possibilities within decentralized applications.

🕤 21:00 – OpenZeppelin Speaker

Topic: TBA
A guest speaker from OpenZeppelin will share insights on smart contract security and best practices (details to be announced).

About the Host

OpenGuild, a builder-first community growing the Polkadot ecosystem across APAC.

  • Web3 Foundation supports the development of a decentralized internet where users retain control over their data and digital identity. Primary projects include Polkadot and Kusama. W3F supports the hackathon by guiding technical direction, ecosystem alignment, and grant-based pathways for high-quality projects building on Polkadot Hub.

  • Polkadot is a next-generation blockchain protocol designed to support a multi-chain future by enabling secure communication and interoperability between different blockchains. Built as a Layer-0 protocol, Polkadot introduces innovations like application-specific Layer-1 chains (parachains), shared security through Nominated Proof of Stake (NPoS), and cross-chain interactions via its native Cross-Consensus Messaging Format (XCM).
