About Event

Part of Amsterdam Tech Week 2026 · June 16–19.

A hands-on hackathon evening where you design your own AI feedback agent using GitHub Copilot. Work in teams with other students to build an agent that gives useful feedback on science writing, test each other's designs, and iterate. Ends with a showcase and community vote. Pizzas included. Co-organised with FeedbackFruits and VU Amsterdam.

What will you learn? Hands-on practice with GitHub Copilot, how to write agent instructions that produce actually useful output (not just plausible-sounding text), and the GitHub workflow basics (fork, commit, issues) along the way.

Who is the audience? Students! No prior experience needed; we'll get you set up on the night.

Why is it fun? Three hours, one goal: build something that holds up when another team tries to break it. You'll cross-test each other's creations, issues, iterate, and finish with a live gallery walk where the community votes for a winner.

What are you contributing to? Your designs become data for a VU Amsterdam research study on how students (not researchers) think AI feedback should work. Most studies ask you to react to feedback. This one asks you to design it: you're not a research subject; you're a co-designer.
