"Get out the vote" postcard-writing hang out
Join us writing postcards to help get out the vote (GOTV)! We'll be writing a short message to registered Democrats in a swing state, urging them to vote in the November 4th election. The campaign is organized by Postcards to Swing States.
WHAT TO EXPECT
If you haven't done GOTV postcarding before it's fun, easy, and proven to be effective in increasing voter turn out.
We'll supply postcards, addresses, and scripts.
Feel free to stop by anytime during the event and stay as long as you like.
THINGS TO BRING
Blue pens to write with. Brightly colored gel pens work well!
A little money/Venmo to help pay for postcard stamps
ABOUT THE VENUE We’re meeting at the Wild East Brewing Co. in Gowanus, a couple of blocks from Union Street station. The brewery hosts regular food popups on site most weekends so folks should be able to get a bite to eat.
The brewery has big wooden tables which are perfect for postcard writing. RSVP and we’ll reserve one for the group. We’ll post here the day of to let you know where to find us.
