About the speakers
Davy Yuen, Head of Wholesale, Hong Kong, Nomura Asset Management
Mr. Davy Yuen assumed the position of Head of Wholesale, Hong Kong at Nomura Asset Management Hong Kong Limited in July 2023, bringing with him over two decades of expertise in the wealth and asset management industry.
In his distinguished career spanning the Asia Pacific region, Davy has held strategic positions serving financial intermediaries and institutional investors. Before joining Nomura, Davy served as Wealth Management Director at a leading insurance institution, where he specialized in high-net-worth client advisory services across Hong Kong and China markets. Previously, as Managing Director of Partnership Development at another prominent global asset management firm, he spearheaded the development of bank distribution channels in Hong Kong. His professional portfolio includes senior business development roles at several prestigious international asset management institutions, where he demonstrated comprehensive expertise across traditional and alternative asset classes.
Mr. Yuen holds dual master's degrees from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology - a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Investment Management. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, earning a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
Andrew McCagg, Senior Client Portfolio Manager, Nomura Asset Management
Mr. Andrew McCagg is Senior Client Portfolio Manager for Japanese equities at Nomura Asset Management UK. Ltd. in London. He joined Nomura Asset Management Co Ltd in Tokyo in 2008 after graduating from International Christian University with a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics.
He initially worked as an assistant portfolio manager in the Advisory Fund Management department and moved to the Japanese equities team in 2011. He was a portfolio manager on the Japan Value team for 8 years before assuming his current role as Client Portfolio Manager.
Janet Hung, Head of Client Advisory, Hong Kong, Endowus
Janet Hung is Head of Client Advisory Hong Kong at Endowus. Before Endowus, Janet was on the Asia Prime Brokerage sales team at Nomura covering global hedge fund investors. She started her career at Credit Suisse and Lehman Brothers Asia with a background in ECM and Research Sales, providing deal access and ideas to Asian equity managers. Janet holds a CFA Certificate in ESG Investing, and was the 2023 Women In Finance Asia award winner for Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion.
