Cinema Club: Comfort and Joy (PG)
Electric Medway Cinema Club presents... Comfort and Joy (1984)
🎞️ After his girlfriend walks out on him just a few days before Christmas, a Glasgow DJ tries to develop other interests. But his stint at investigative journalism blows the lid on corruption in the local ice-cream business, and he finds himself at the centre of a full-scale war (BFI Screenonline). From the director of Gregory's Girl, Comfort and Joy is "one of the happiest and most engaging movies you are likely to see this year" (Roger Ebert).

About Cinema Club
Founded in Spring 2025, bringing the best of indie cinema and more to Medway, Electric Medway Cinema Club is chance to catch the movies that may have passed you by, or you would never have considered seeing!
Cinema Club events may start with an XR short - such as a film, virtual reality or augmented reality experience - all commissioned by Electric Medway and from local creators. You'll get an idea of both the work we do and the talent in the area. There will be opportunity to discuss the feature film afterwards.
