Lunch, Learn & Launch: From AI Prototype to Real Product
This event is created by and for women founders.
Male allies are welcome to join and support the conversation, but please note that space is prioritized for women-identifying entrepreneurs.
About the Event
AI gave you a new superpower. What else belongs in your toolbelt?
Join WAKE Collective for lunch and the story behind Calla, a clinic operations system for midwives. A founder and a developer share how they’re taking an AI prototype toward launch, and the tools and skills needed along the way.
Lorraine Wong, the founder: Spotting the need, testing the idea, and using AI to get a prototype into users’ hands.
Ghazaleh Bakhtiariazad, the developer: What’s missing from your toolbelt? Think data security, user permissions, testing, and a plan for when things break. Plus, how much of that AI-generated code can you actually keep?
What can you tackle yourself? Where do you need backup? And what does it take to get your product ready for the real world?
A light lunch will be served. Bring your questions. Meet other people building things.

WAKE runs entirely on community power. We don’t have a budget, so your contributions directly support the costs of running the community and hosting gatherings like this. It’s pay-what-you-can, with a suggested donation of $15.
WAKE events are created by and for women founders. Male allies are always welcome to support and be part of the conversation, but with limited spots, we’re prioritizing registration for women founders first.
A huge thank-you to Deloitte for generously making the space for WAKE.
