The Weekly Change by We Are Changemakers with Chloé Zimmermann - Regenerative Architcture

​Chloé Zimmermann is a French architect and Certified Sustainability Manager based between Vienna and Bangalore, with over a decade bridging low-carbon design and systemic rural transformation across Europe and India. She co-founded the India-Europe collective The Agami Project, selected from over 5,000 entries to receive the Holcim Award for Sustainable Construction 2025 for a community health centre in Bangalore.

​Her current focus is Villages of Opportunity, a farmer-owned cooperative model in Karnataka integrating agroforestry, eco-construction, and community energy into a single locally governed system. Central to it is restoring existing mud houses, proving this is the most democratic, cost-effective and thermally sound path forward, using bio-based materials produced by women and making female empowerment structural rather than symbolic while agroforestry restores nature and sustainable livelihoods.

​Chloé believes real change lives in process, lifecycle thinking, and respecting the pace of genuine transformation. She is seeking partners who share that sensibility.
