Agentic AI Foundations- In Person
Everyone in life sciences is talking about agentic AI. Far fewer can tell you what an agent actually is, how it works, or what it takes to put one to work safely inside a pharma, biotech, or med tech team.
This is where we fix that. Session 1 of our Summer AI in Life Sciences Series is the foundations session, where the groundwork is laid before anyone touches a build.
Every session in this series stands on its own. You don't need the others to get full value from this one, and you won't be playing catch-up if you join later. We recap as we go, so you'll never feel behind. Come to this one, come to all of them, start wherever you are.
We'll cover the terminology that gets thrown around (and often misused), how agentic AI actually works under the hood, what separates a real agentic workflow from a glorified bot, and the prep work your team needs to do before automating anything. By the end, you'll have the vocabulary to follow the conversation, the mental model to evaluate what you're being sold, and a clear picture of what it takes to get a workflow ready for agentic AI.
What we'll cover:
The language of agentic AI, in plain terms
How agents actually work: what's happening under the hood
What to think about before you build: data, process, risk, readiness
The prep work that makes the difference between a demo and something that survives in a real org
Who this is for: biotech, pharma, and med tech professionals exploring agentic AI, whether you're hands-on technical or leading the teams who will be.
The series moves toward actually constructing an agentic workflow for a real life sciences process, with later sessions covering how to agentify a process, a hands-on group build, troubleshooting and sharebacks, and AI governance. Each one is built so you can join at any point and get the full value of that session.
