About Event

Let’s celebrate EDUCATION and our cast of teen actors putting “The Merchant of Venice” on the stage this June. Join our Cynthia Florez, Austin Shakespeare Education Coordinator and Director of Young Shakespeare, in conversation with Marc Pouhé on the play The Merchant of Venice as performed today. While fewer schools are teaching the classics, Young Shakespeare brings history alive and takes on new life through our teen troupe.

Team up for the trivia quiz and a chance to win a free ticket to either an upcoming production or our 2026 Raffle for a trip to London, Rome, or Prague as you relax and patronize the award-winning ABGB’s menu of food and beverages.
