Just you, your book and a little bit of silence.
The No Scroll Society invites you to a slower, softer format: a relaxed offline reading night for people who want less screen time and more real time.
For one evening, we put our phones away and make space for the good stuff: reading, quiet moments, soft background music, good drinks and the comforting feeling of being around other people doing the exact same thing.
This one is more reading-focused than our usual offline hangouts — but still social, still low-pressure and still very much come-as-you-are.
No pressure to talk.
No pressure to finish your book.
No pressure to be interesting.
Just people choosing to read offline together.

The Program
Three hours. A good book. Zero pressure.
18:00 – 18:15 | Arrive & settle in
Come in, grab a drink, find your spot and slowly arrive.
18:15 – 19:45 | Reading Session I
Time to read. Bring your own book, magazine, essay, poetry collection or comic — or simply get lost in whatever you brought along.
19:45 – 20:00 | Optional social break
Stretch, refill your drink, chat a little, exchange recommendations — or just stay in your reading bubble.
20:00 – 20:45 | Reading Session II
Back to the pages. One more quiet stretch of uninterrupted reading time.
20:45 – 21:00 | Soft closing
We’ll slowly wrap up the evening and head back into the world — hopefully a little calmer, lighter and with a few new book recommendations.
The Location
Cake, books and a little escape from the city.
We’ll meet at Café Schöngeist — a place that feels made for this kind of evening.
The café was created as a space for people who love both books and baked goods, and that spirit runs through the whole place. One side is warm, loungey and full of character — perfect for sinking into a book. The other is calmer and more minimal, ideal for reading, talking or simply spending a slow evening well.
There’s also a curated book collection on site, so if you don’t bring your own reading material, you might still find something on the shelves that speaks to you.
♥️ Giving back is simple: grab a coffee, a drink, a slice of cake or something small to eat. Everything you order goes directly to the café.

Your phone will spend the evening in our little Phone Hotel. We’ll keep an eye on it, but please note: we can’t take responsibility if your phone decides to escape, develop a personality or mysteriously learn how to fly.
Not ready to fully let go? Totally fine. Just switch it off and keep it out of sight.
