About Event

Monkey Rock: A Species Corner for Nature at Climate Hub Davos is a temporary public art installation presented during World Economic Forum week in Davos.

Join a provocative conversation with Perrine Bouhana, Director at GlobeScan, as she unpacks their new global study, “Societal Shift: Understanding Public Sentiment in an Age of Climate and Economic Uncertainty.” Drawing on a 33-market public opinion survey, Perrine will reveal how economic pressure, emotional fatigue, and rising climate impacts are reshaping what people are actually willing to do – and what they now expect from business, government, and civil society.

This session will challenge comfortable narratives about “awareness” and “ambition” by spotlighting the uncomfortable truths: people support a healthy environment but resist financial sacrifice; the Global South is outpacing many industrialized countries in concern and commitment; and public trust now hinges on visible, systemic action rather than slogans. Attendees will gain practical, evidence-based insights on how to frame climate and nature strategies so they feel affordable, relevant, and emotionally resonant – and how to design engagement that matches the real hopes, fears, and trade-offs people are living with today. This is a must-attend conversation for leaders who want to move beyond intention to societal shifts that actually stick.
