Builder Foundations Lab: Build & Deploy Your Personal Website with AI
Use Claude Code or Codex in the terminal to build a personal website. No engineering or coding background required.
If you use ChatGPT or Claude but have never built a website, this two-hour live lab is designed for you.
You will start with a prepared project and build a personal site that introduces who you are and what you want people to discover about you.
What will you build?
Your website can include:
A short introduction and about section
Work, projects, interests or ideas
Links through which people can find or contact you
You do not need a polished portfolio. The site can represent your work, something you are learning, a personal project or simply what you care about.
You will make it your own by changing the content, colours, typography, layout or sections.
How the lab works
I build: See the completed site and watch an instruction become a visible change.
We build: Build the main sections together and get the shared project running.
You build: Add your content and make one meaningful design or functionality change.
We will test the site on different screen sizes, check its links and fix anything that is not working.
What will you leave with?
A working personal website on your laptop
A project shaped around your own content and choices
The ability to run, change and test a web project
A website deployed that you can to continue developing and polishing
Is this for you?
This lab is for people who have used an AI chatbot but have not yet built with Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex.
If you already build comfortably with an AI coding assistant, you can join The Builder Course directly.
Before the session
Bring a personal laptop on which you can install software, along with:
A short introduction about yourself
An optional photo
Your projects, interests or articles.
You will need access to either Claude Code or ChatGPT Codex. We will send a setup and content checklist before the lab.

Group size: Maximum 20

Coding experience required: None
Course credit
Enrol in an upcoming online or in-person Builder Course cohort within 7 days after the lab, and the SGD 59 you paid for this lab will be deducted from the full course fee. You will pay only the remaining balance. This applies to cohorts that have not yet started.
