Life Itself Research: Weekly Meeting
This is the regular weekly call of Life Itself Research - a research collective exploring paths to a Second Renaissance and awakening societies.
This week's topic
The Psychology of Interpersonal Behaviour - Affiliation, Alignment and Reciprocity
In this presentation I'll be examining the mechanics of affiliation - the psychological processes through which individuals bond, signal belonging and co-ordinate behaviour.
I'll introduce patterns that undermine alignment including dependency based bonds, status seeking coalitions and conflict avoiding cohesion.
The goal is to have a discussion around often neglected rules of building interpersonal relationships that are the basis for groups that are not only connected by coherence but also by trust and love.
Format
The Session format is up to the presenter/facilitator. This week's format is: presentation + discussion
