Are you a Former Federal Employee, Contractor, or Grant Recipient (#FormerFed) who is a Water Professional or supported Water-Related Programs and have been impacted by the current Reductions in Force and other Federal program changes ... or otherwise have experienced a mid-to-late career interruption?

Are you interested in exploring a new career path working for a Growing Water Tech Company (and possibly gaining insights into creating your own Water Tech Startup)?

You're in the right place!

Last year, we saw unprecedented "Reductions in Force" within the Federal Government, and well as reduction or elimination of many Federal Programs and Grant Supports - with many still searching for new positions and/or settling for positions outside of their chosen professions.

Congressional Research Service has identified more than 2 dozen Federal Water Programs across several agencies - not just for water and wastewater utilities and aquatic habitat, but also water for food, transportation, energy and other industries, as well as weather, floods and other water-related disasters.

At the same time, there is an ongoing Water Workforce Crisis - and a need to match individuals with water-related experience with those who are hiring.

When Water Tech Startups hire, they often hire quickly when new funding or new contracts arrive - seeking people both with the knowledge, skills, and experience they need and with the aptitude to work for a small but growing company.

If you are a #FORMERFED or Other Experienced Professional interested in working for a Water Startup - or have an interest in the possibility of becoming an Entrepreneur yourself - then THIS EVENT IS FOR YOU! Here's your chance to find opportunities with exciting, innovative companies who VALUE and APPRECIATE your experience!

This includes both professionals in water-related fields (engineering, environmental sciences, water economics/law/policy, etc) as well as those who have worked for agencies in support of water-related programs in ALL disciplines (e.g. communications and media, accounting and contract management, HR)

... and if you LEAD A GROWING WATER STARTUP OR "SCALE-UP" ... THIS EVENT IS FOR YOU TOO!

This is not a typical "career fair" format. Instead, we provide opportunities for each of our GROWING WATER STARTUPS that are hiring OR have plans to hire when the money comes in (from a contractor investment check) to deliver a short "REVERSE PITCH" that includes:

>> An Overview of your Company - what problem you solve and for whom and why it matters (basically the heart of your usual pitchdeck)

>> About your Founding and Future Vision for your company

>> Why You're Growing and What You're Looking For (in terms of new team members)

>> About your Corporate Culture and why experienced professionals should come talk to you about joining your team!

We'll include some opening comments from DC programs for workforce and water entrepreneurship, and have a few spots available for large water organizations ready to hire before the Growing Water Startup Reverse Pitches.

After the Revere Pitches, we'lll have opportunities to enjoy conversations with food and beverages with the Hiring Startups!

PLEASE NOTE: While this event is FREE FOR FORMER FEDS and other Career Opportunity Seekers ...

... we do charge for Growing Water Startups that want to Reverse Pitch and for Sponsor Organizations that will also get a brief opportunity to speak.

These fees cover the cost of food and beverage other event expenses - and any additional revenue supports WaterCitizen 501(c)3's WaterPreneurship Initiative.

Please do not "crash" our event to promote your own hiring needs without paying to Reverse Pitch or Sponsor!

We will finish in time for AWWA ACE Attendees to return to the Presidential Gavel Passing and President's Reception!

MUCH GRATITUTE to Duane Morris for sponsoring the venue for this event!
