Foresight's AI Salon: Kazik Pogoda | Metacognitive AI: when philosophy meets harness engineering
Join Foresight Institute and Xemantic's Kazik Pogoda in his session entitled Metacognitive AI: when philosophy meets harness engineering
What happens when phenomenology, cognitive science, and systems engineering inform how we build self-improving agents, capable of autonomous scientific discovery. Is metacognition required to reach AGI? Drawing on his ongoing work on Golem XIV, a Lem-inspired AI harness with recursive self-improvement loops, Kazik will explore how philosophical commitments (about cognition, language, and selfhood) shape — and are shaped by — the engineering choices made at the harness layer.
