Dr. W.E. Da'Cruz is an award-winning entrepreneur, lecturer, and scholar working at the intersection of strategy, entrepreneurship, technology, and leadership. Known as The Digital Diplomat™, she co-founded the Virtual Global Consultant (VGC) Group in 2016, which designs and develops eCommerce systems that help generate revenue online for companies; and customizes digital platforms and software that make shipping and collecting payment easier for businesses in emerging markets. She is responsible for helping to generate millions of dollars a year in at-will donations and business sales for her clients, with a large concentration in Africa.
Her specialization in implementing digital technologies and eCommerce systems on homegrown businesses helps drive economic development across the labor force in developing countries. In partnership with the University of Michigan Dearborn College of Business and a global logistics company, she developed the Digital Futures program, which connects market research practitioners to African businesses to help them compete in the global market.
As a global speaker and facilitator, and a TEDxDetroit speaker, Dr. W.E. Da'Cruz has contributed to high-level convenings on economic development, innovation, and digital trade across the United States and Africa. She has spoken and led engagements in Mozambique, Ethiopia, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Kuwait, and South Africa, including multiple appointments through the U.S. Department of State's Speaker Program, where she has supported entrepreneurship training and market-access initiatives for thousands of entrepreneurs.
Dr. W.E. Da'Cruz is the Co-Founder of Virtual Global Consultant (VGC) Group LLC, a global AI-driven digital practice supporting digital transformation and international market expansion, which she has led for over a decade. She is also the Co-Founder of The Mushroom Angel Company, a Detroit-based mushroom-first food manufacturer whose flagship products are sold in more than 100 retail locations across six Midwest states, and recipient of the U.S. Department of Commerce's Minority E-Commerce Firm of the Year (MBDA).
She can engage on a variety of topics including; building scalable brand ecosystems, brand positioning for domestic and international markets, and leveraging eCommerce for scalability.
