MakeShift 2026
MakeShift 2026: Accountable Tech by Design is taking place on May 20 and 21, 2026 in New York City.
Join us for MakeShift 2026, the inaugural convening for designers, technologists, researchers, and advocates. This collective work means reimagining how digital systems are designed, governed, and made legible in their communities.
This 2-day event is hosted by Helpful Places, Superbloom Design, and MFA Interaction Design (ixD) at the School of Visual Arts, with support from the U.S. National Science Foundation POSE program.
Graphic design by Kathy Choi.
