About Event

We're unveiling our first brick and mortar exhibition inside cARTie's new HQ at Lotta Studio. This exhibition spotlights cARTie student-artist, Siena. On July 16th, Siena and cARTie's Co-Founder, Clare Murray, will bring you along for a playful exhibition walk-through, fireside art chat, and spirited art-making (with some of Siena's favorite snacks as creative fuel).

This is an exhibition opening and artist talk meant for families with young children, educators interested in learning more about what moves youth these days, artists willing to reconnect with their inner child artist, and folks who care deeply about art and museum education.

Organized by cARTie, Connecticut's nonprofit art museum bus for children and youth, this special event breaks down barriers to the art world and puts the spotlight on student-artistry.

For two hours, you will have a chance to get to know Siena, one of cARTie's featured student-artists, experience her art, and try out making art inspired by her work.

About the exhibition

Storytelling through color, art, and music is a solo exhibition of works by student-artist, Siena Zawrotny. Siena has exhibited artwork inside the cARTie art museum bus since 2024. She joined cARTie's Student Advisory Board (cSAB) that same year and has since helped set the tone for annual calls for student art and exhibitions aboard the bus. Currently, she is exploring how color and music help tell different stories through her art.

What to expect

  • Time to ask Siena questions about her art and process
