Come learn club swing! It’s impossible to be in a bad mood while swing dancing!
Club swing
Has a very quick learning curve. Anyone can become proficient at it within AN HOUR!! Excellent class for those looking to get a taste of what social dance is like.
Is great for weddings or going out to bars/clubs because it can be danced to common pop hits.
Will teach you connection and skills that you can use in other dance forms as well!
Is enthusiastic, silly, expressive, and a welcoming way to connect with another human being and make art.
We have limited capacity for the workshop due to room size. Please be prepared come ON TIME and ONLY if you have been accepted on Luma. Anyone is welcome to come to the social after!
9 - 10:15PM: Club Swing workshop
10:15 - 11PM: Social
Wear sneakers/comfortable shoes for dancing, no specific dress code!
This is a beginner class to introduce partner dancing skills to those with little to no dance experience, but experienced dancers are welcome to come help out!
About the instructor:
Cameron Schaeffer is a Commons member who has taught partner dance classes for over 10 years as a side hobby, several with over 100 people in attendance.
