About Event

Time-Addressable Media Store (TAMS) has moved from a BBC R&D prototype into the foundation of a new cloud-native model for live and fast-turnaround media.

Originally designed by the BBC and now backed by AWS, Sky, Reuters and a growing list of vendors, TAMS treats media as an immutable timeline of references rather than copies of files — letting teams clip, edit, repurpose and distribute content the moment it's ingested, without duplicating it across buckets, NLEs and MAMs.

But adopting TAMS is more than reading a spec. Broadcasters and live-event producers still need their editors in Premiere and Resolve, their MAMs, their AI tooling and their distribution partners to actually reach that media. That's where the broader ecosystem comes in.

Join LucidLink, AWS and Mavis for a candid conversation on:

  • What TAMS actually is — and what changes when media becomes time-addressable instead of file-based

  • Why it matters now — the live sports, news and event workflows it unlocks

  • The honest trade-offs — operational complexity, emerging interop conventions and what TAMS doesn't solve

  • How the ecosystem closes the loop — making TAMS-stored content usable in the creative, MAM and AI applications teams already rely on

Built for broadcasters, sports and news producers, live-event teams and media technology leaders evaluating where cloud-native production goes next.
