Runner’s Strength Workshop Week 7
Event Overview
These workshops are designed for runners who want to run faster, stay healthy, and stop dealing with recurring aches and pains—whether you’re brand new to strength training or an experienced lifter. Sessions will take place every Thursday at 6:15 PM at Lifted South Boston throughout the 8-week series (February 12 – April 2).
Additionally, $5 from each class will be donated to a Boston Marathon charity team, allowing participants to give back while building strength and durability for their running.
Each 45-minute session blends runner-specific strength training with intentional mobility, helping you build durability that actually transfers to your running. This is not random lifting or bootcamp-style workouts—every movement has a purpose, and every runner has a starting point.
Meet the Coaches
Brittany Zuback is a sports chiropractor and strength coach who specializes in helping runners train smarter and stay healthy. She works with runners of all levels—from first-time lifters to experienced marathoners—using evidence-based strength, mobility, and load management strategies to reduce injury risk and improve performance. Her approach is practical, progressive, and designed to support your running—not compete with it.
Kayla Rose is a Boston-based wellness creator and fitness instructor who brings an accessible, motivating energy to each session, helping runners feel confident, supported, and empowered throughout the workshop.
What to Expect
Each session includes:
Runner-specific strength training (hips, glutes, quads, calves, core)
Progressive overload with clear modifications and progressions
Unilateral and anti-rotation work to improve single-leg control
Mobility where runners actually need it (hips, ankles, thoracic spine)
Simple, effective programming—no fluff, no random circuits
Movements are scalable based on experience level, comfort, and how your body feels that day.
