About Event

In order to achieve the ambition of the Paris Agreement and stabilise global temperatures, it will be necessary to not only reduce emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, but also remove, and permanently store, large quantities of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

The meeting, convened by the Bridge Institute with the support of PT1, will bring together experts in CDR and key stakeholders from policy, industry, finance, and academia to discuss the role of CDR in achieving net zero.

A workshop session will involve participants in exploring what it will take to responsibly develop and deploy CDR at the scale required and in scoping out the design of a proposed institution to support the international coordination of CDR.

The meeting will be conducted under the Chatham House Rule and a report detailing the outcome of the workshop will be prepared and shared with the participants.

The meeting will be followed by drinks and networking until 21:00 to continue the conversation.
