SUSPENDED PATHS (Olmo Amato)
Suspended Paths is a photographic project exploring the relationship between memory, imagination and landscape.
Through photomontage, Olmo Amato combines archival photographs with images of places he shot during his travels, creating scenes suspended between reality and dream. Figures from another time inhabit wild, untouched landscapes, giving rise to new narratives in which past and present, memory and nature, seem to meet again in a timeless elsewhere.
Olmo Amato is a visual artist, filmmaker and teacher. A graduate in Neurobiology from Sapienza University of Rome, he develops a body of work that weaves together photography, photomontage, archival images and AI-generated material, exploring the relationships between perception, nature and technology. Since 2012 he has worked in fine art printing, post-production and education, teaching photography at several institutions in Rome. His work has been exhibited and awarded at festivals, galleries and contemporary art fairs.
