A Canyon Garden Walkabout with Native Plant Expert Terry Huang
For our Sunday, December 7th workshop, we’ve confirmed a wonderful speaker to address the most pressing topic on our minds in the aftermath of the recent devastating fires: What can we do as canyon residents facing inevitable and more frequent fire events? What steps can we take to better manage our private and public lands — to “slow the burn” at the very least? Can native plants really help?
As the … , a native California plant landscape management and maintenance service, Terry Huang has ideas for us! He is also a teacher at the Theodore Payne Foundation (https://theodorepayne.org) and …. at ….. He will discuss many proactive steps we can take, such as ridding the canyon of highly combustible invasive species, establishing a healthier tree canopy, and best practices for starting and maintaining hydrated native plant gardens.

He even has a challenge project for our incredible forward-thinking community — we can’t wait to hear all about it!
Bring your all your questions, and let’s put our hearts and minds together to create a resilient future for our beloved Laurel Canyon.
See you at the oak woodland dome on December 7th!
