Session: How Money Works & What G$ Can Become for the Commons
Money shapes what we can build and what we can’t. If public goods are struggling today, it’s because our current economic system wasn’t designed to fund them.
In this open session, Hadar will explore how money really works, why funding the commons is structurally broken, and what becomes possible when communities start printing their own moneys.
We’ll connect these ideas to the bigger vision of G$ as a liquidity layer for the commons, a shared monetary infrastructure that could empower public-good ecosystems to coordinate, fund themselves, and grow.
This session is part of the ongoing Collaborative Governance (CoGov) process, where the community is shaping GoodDollar’s long-term mission and decision framework. You can follow and contribute to the governance work here: 👉 CoGoV: GoodDollar Governance redesign
Whether you’re active in governance, building in the ecosystem, or simply curious about new economic models, everyone is welcome.
Expect fresh ideas, clear explanations, and space for big-picture discussion.
