DAISI AI Security Hackathon
Join us on our local site for the global Defensive Acceleration Hackathon (BlueDot Impact + Apart Research), which is scheduled for November 22-23, 2025 and is taking place in the Teaching and Learning Centre. We’re bringing together students to prototype defensive systems that could protect us from AI-enabled biosecurity and cyber threats.
You don’t need to be an AI safety whiz or even a computer scientist to join - we’re beginner friendly. Just come along to learn about AI Security and build a cool project! No team or project idea required!

✍️ How to Register (Important Two-Step Process)
To participate, you must register on both platforms:
Register on Luma (here): Click the "Register" button on this page first.
Register on the Global Site: After you register here, your Luma confirmation email will contain the official link to the Apart Research website. You must also sign up there to complete your registration and be eligible for prizes.
This is a required two-step process to join the local hub and the global competition.
Please note - this event is only open to registered students of Durham University. Others can register to join remotely on the global site here.
