I’ve always loved music, but for years I thought songwriting wasn’t something I could do.
It wasn’t until I started taking songwriting lessons myself that I realised it could simply be another way of expressing yourself. You don’t need years of training to begin — You just need curiosity💡
That’s why I started Songwriting Lab.
Each month, we’ll dive into the songwriting of a different artist.
Every guest will receive a curated goodie bag from RELIGHT — the lifestyle brand I founded to encourage everyday creativity through thoughtful rituals and product.
During the session, we’ll listen to, sing, and analyse some of Olivia Dean’s songs— exploring her lyrics, melodies, and storytelling before using them as inspiration to write something entirely our own.
Through guided creative prompts, group discussions, melody improvisation and individual writing time, you’ll have the opportunity to discover new ideas, develop your own voice, and connect with others who share a love for music and creativity.
The workshop will take place in a beautiful, spacious recording studio in Shoreditch, creating the perfect setting to write, sing, and connect.
All levels of songwriting experience are welcome.
