Each January 1st we usher in the hope of a new year by opening the door to fresh ideas, voices and each other...and after this rough year, we couldn't be happier to have this special time together to enrich our collective intelligence, understanding and community.
We close out this year wondering what is more frightening: that we are living in an era where dystopias easily come to mind — fractured democracies, collapsing ecosystems, runaway technologies (take your pick) — or that our capacity to envision a flourishing future seems to be atrophying?
Even those once most devoted to progress narratives and technological salvation now sound the alarm. But what if the greatest challenge is not a lack of resources or innovation in defending the old, but a lack of courageous imagination in envisioning a radically new world of flourishing for generations to come?
What could it look like to boldly recenter societal success on wellbeing, regeneration, and shared prosperity? What happens when we unleash our intuition and deepen our respect for nature, each other, ourselves and our ancestors?
