​Join the Emerging Leader Forum (ELF) for a special session exploring the evolution of healthcare connectivity, the growing importance of interoperability in shaping modern health systems, and the foundational role of trust frameworks in enabling secure and scalable data exchange.

​Featuring Abhinav Kalra, Executive Vice-President of Connected Care at Canada Health Infoway, this session will provide a forward-looking perspective on how Canada is advancing toward a more connected, data-driven healthcare ecosystem.

​Drawing on his global experience across public and private sectors, Abhi will highlight key milestones in digital health transformation and share insights into the national efforts driving interoperable systems. The discussion will explore the emerging Trust Framework and how it supports governance, consistency, and confidence in data sharing across organizations and jurisdictions.

​Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how initiatives like the Shared Pan-Canadian Interoperability Roadmap, alongside policy advancements and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, are helping move connected care from strategy to real-world impact. The session will also consider how AI can support trust framework implementation and accelerate interoperability by improving standards adoption, automating compliance processes, and enabling more efficient cross-system collaboration—ultimately enhancing provider coordination and improving patient outcomes across Canada
