The Identity Frontline: Defending African Women Against AI-Driven Cyber Threats and Digital Fraud

Artificial intelligence is changing how we interact online, but it is also creating new risks for women, from AI-generated impersonation and deepfakes to online scams and digital fraud.

Join the Obele Women Empowerment Foundation (OWEF) for an important conversation with Blessing Bamidele, Head of Programs at Tech4Dev, as we explore the cyber threats African women face, how AI is being used to deceive and exploit people, and practical ways to protect our identities and stay safe online.

This session will help participants better understand emerging digital risks, recognise warning signs, and take steps to protect themselves in an increasingly AI-driven world.
