Calmante Social Hour
Dearest Gentle Calmantians -
It has not escaped this author’s attention that our winter has been unusually mild and agreeable. While such conditions may delight the snow-removal budget and spare our furnaces unnecessary labor, they have unfortunately deprived many of us of proper days upon the slopes.
But take heart — spring is nearly upon us.
With the arrival of the Vernal Equinox comes the welcome return of Calmante’s Social Hours, where neighbors gather, stories are exchanged, and community thrives - it is indeed just so nice when we can get together.
This year, in our continuing quest to make these gatherings ever more delightful, we shall try a few small innovations. A sign-up link will accompany invitations so hosts may better anticipate attendance, and those who join us might consider whether they would enjoy hosting - or assisting with hosting - a future gathering.
For our first social hour of the year, we shall venture beyond the drawing rooms of Calmante and meet at a local establishment to celebrate the first day of spring — that hopeful moment when daylight and darkness stand in perfect balance and the warmer days ahead begin to reveal themselves.
