About Event

โ€‹An Interactive Community Forum on Heatwaves and Climate Justice

โ€‹Just because we survived the heatwave doesn't mean it wasn't hard.

โ€‹We felt it too. And while we may have experienced the same heatwave, we didn't all experience it in the same way.

โ€‹How did the heat affect our homes, our health and our communities? Who was most affected, and what can our experiences tell us about the wider climate crisis?

โ€‹Join Youth4CJ for an interactive community forum where we can come together to share our experiences of the recent heatwave, listen to one another and explore the connections between extreme heat, inequality and climate justice.

โ€‹Through conversation, reflection and activities shaped by our young co-researchers, we'll explore how heatwaves affect Black and racially minoritised communities, connect our experiences here in the UK with those in the Global South, and consider what we can learn from one another as we face a changing climate.

โ€‹You don't need to be an expert or have all the answers. Just bring yourself, your experiences and your curiosity.

โ€‹Saturday 7th November 2026 | 5 pm โ€“7 pm
The Advocacy Academy, Brixton

โ€‹Free to attend. Refreshments provided.
