All Aboard with Transit CEOs
The Bay Area transit agencies, and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) are hosting “All Aboard with Transit CEOs,” a multi-modal ride-a-long and social event giving the public a chance to ride with and meet regional transit leaders.
The event is also an opportunity for transit leaders to draw attention to the need for reliable funding and to showcase the coordination happening among agencies to improve the rider experience in the Bay Area.
We will start with a BART ride into San Francisco to then catch a Golden Gate Ferry to Larkspur, then a ride on SMART with some bus rides after.
Attendees must pay for each transit ride. For the full journey from 19th Street Oakland BART to Golden Gate Ferry into Marin and back into SF with a return trip on BART to 19th Street Oakland, please have at least $26 loaded on your Clipper card (this is adult fare). Full cost details are below.
Route Details:
Meeting locations (there are two options depending on where you are starting from)
Option One: Meet at 19th Street/Oakland BART Station (20th Street end Station Agent booth) by 3:05pm to take the 3:17pm Yellow Line SFO train to Embarcadero at 3:30pm, then walk to the SF Ferry Terminal Gate C.
Option Two: Meet at the San Francisco Ferry Terminal Gate C by 3:35pm.
Everyone takes the 3:50pm Golden Gate Ferry (grab a drink and mingle) to Larkspur arriving at 4:25pm.
Walk to SMART Larkspur Station. SMART Connect microtransit will also be onsite for those who need a ride to the SMART station.
Take 5:03pm SMART train to Marin Civic Center Station arriving at 5:15pm.
Take the 5:27pm Marin Transit Route 49 bus to San Rafael Transit Center arriving at 5:40pm.
Return Home from the San Rafael Transit Center*
2 options depending on your final destination.
Option One to Downtown San Francisco:
Take the 5:47pm Golden Gate Transit Route 150 from the San Rafael Transit Center over the Golden Gate Bridge and into San Francisco. For BART, folks can get off at 6:42pm at Golden Gate and Polk and enter the Civic Center BART Station or continue on the bus until the Salesforce Transit Center.
Option Two to El Cerrito Del Norte BART: Take the 5:45pm Golden Gate Transit Route 580 to the east bay arriving at the El Cerrito del Norte BART Station at 6:23pm
*If some people want to hang out in San Rafael after arriving at the Transit Center at 5:40pm they can go to one of the many spots nearby for one hour and then take Golden Gate Transit Route 150 at 6:47pm into SF.

$7 Golden Gate Transit 150 into SF or $6 for Golden Gate Transit 580 to El Cerrito del Norte BART
