Can9 Bioengineering is a New York–based biotechnology startup developing next-generation solutions at the intersection of genetics and human health. The company applies cutting edge genome engineering tools to address widespread challenges. Can9 is supported by scientists, MDs, entrepreneurs, and institutional investors, and is currently advancing its first consumer-focused innovation.
Matt Walker is a scientist-entrepreneur with a Ph.D. in genetics from Columbia University, where his research focused on natural systems of genome editing. He is the co-founder and CEO of Can9 Bioengineering, a startup developing innovative applications of genetic technology for everyday impact. Matt is also an actor with credits on stage and screen, and enjoys building bridges between science and arts communities in NYC.
