About The Climate Party
The Climate Party® is building a Scenius - collective genius - for Climate solutions in India.
Climate Parties are a series of immersive learning & ecosystem building events curated to enable interdisciplinary solutionists, either already working in or seriously considering a transition to the Climate space, to discover more of their kind across domains and cross-pollinate ideas for collaborative action.
Our climate parties across 7 cities over the past 2 years have brought together 3,000+ diverse Climate stakeholders, from CXOs to students, and culminated in tangible actions.
About this edition
The Future is Hot. Are We Ready?
Summers are here and so is the excruciating Amdavaad heat! It only seems to get hotter from here and unfortunately, it's not going to reverse - higher temperatures are a reality which we have to adapt to. Hence, the chosen theme this time - bolstering heat resilience from health, design and preparedness POVs.
In collaboration with The Climate Institute of Ahmedabad University, this edition will feature a focus on Ahmedabad's globally recognized Heat Action Plan alongside a candid, interactive dialogue with experts who have shaped this action plan as well as other heat resilience strategies for Ahmedabad & beyond. In the conversation, we will explore:
Why extreme heat is emerging as a critical climate risk;
How public health, policy, and urban planning intersect in addressing inevitable heat;
What it takes to design and implement real-world climate adaptation strategies; and
What can you do about heat at a community level.

Current Faculty of planning, Former Programme Chair – Bachelor in Urban Design, CEPT University
