Welcome to the Nerves Meetup EU!

We meet every month on the second Wednesday. All are welcome to join :)

For this edition, we welcome Harald Ringvold to present his project, Armex, which uses Nerves to import physical media into his digital library.

Harald promises explain the parts a system like this consists of, from detecting and identifying discs to driving external tools, tracking jobs, storage and organisation, and how Armex approaches each of them on the way to a Nerves appliance.

Speaker

Harald Ringvold is an independent Elixir developer and the founder of Ringvold Solutions (ringvold.dev), based in Haugesund, Norway. He has a weakness for projects that end up as hardware: a homelab that keeps growing, a 3D printer that keeps running, and now a disc ripper that wants to become an appliance.

Format

The first 10 minutes of the meetup will allow for some small discussions around the topic, plus introductions and announcements. Afterwards, our speaker will present for about 30 minutes. Following the presentation, there will be time for Q&A, as well as a social hour!
