We are hosting our first Proposal Mentorship Office Hour!
This is an open community call hosted by the SciPy India team for prospective speakers seeking guidance before submitting their proposals.
We invite you to join and discuss your ideas, seek feedback, and brainstorm.

The first office hour will run from 3:00 PM IST – 4:00 PM IST on September 19th, 2026.
It will be hosted online via Google Meet. Please register to receive the link to the meeting.
This session is for anyone considering a submission to SciPy India 2026, whether you are a first-time speaker, still deciding on a topic, or refining a draft you have already started but haven't submitted yet. If you have been meaning to submit, but are unsure where to begin, this is a good place to start!
We are glad to offer advice on what reviewers generally look for, answer questions about the scope and the abstracts, choosing an appropriate format, guidance on how to shape your idea into a succinct proposal, and general tips on how to propose your topic in a way that is compelling to our intended audience at the conference. Please feel free to ask away!
We especially encourage women, and those from underrepresented and marginalised groups in India and beyond, to attend, seek feedback, and submit their proposals.
