Organic Gardening & Regenerative Agriculture
Are you ready to start growing your own food but don’t know where to start? Or are you already in the process but could use guidance on how to increase yields and quality?
In this 2 hour class you will discover techniques and methods for preparing your soil, organic vegetable production, and sustainable practices to keep your garden healthy for years to come.
Chris Toussaint, an organic gardener, permaculture student and seed saver for over 30 years, will detail his 2 years at Wild Seeds Ranch and what he learned growing over 35 crop varieties here in the San Diego area.
We will:
plant seeds for the fall season
build soil for the Spring
discuss ways to deter pests, from insects to gophers to deers, without pesticides
review watering requirements and irrigation especially during drought times
help you plan and design your future garden
Much of the time will be spent answering your questions and troubleshooting difficult conditions so you can get back to the joy and rewarding feeling that motivated you to grow your own food in the first place.
