There is a place, tucked away in Farrer Park, where the walls glow in the dark like lava stones. The floor feels like a mass of white snow beneath your feet. You close your eyes. You breathe, and the air enters your body. You feel light and free.
Join us for an immersive art experience at the Salt Room.
Create your first Salt Painting
Salt isn't just underfoot here — it's the medium. You'll be working with salt itself to create your painting, an unfamiliar material that asks you to let go of how you think a painting is supposed to look.
It's a small, intimate setting, which makes it easy to talk to the person next to you. But there's no pressure to. The painting gives you somewhere to disappear into if you'd rather sit with your own thoughts than make conversation.
A special location
This time we are hosting Art & Connect in a private and cosy space called The Salt Room. Step into a dimly lit, amber-hued sanctuary where every surface is lined with pure Himalayan salt, designed to give you a sense of calm and grounding. The temperature in this room is carefully moderated at 24.5 - 25 degrees celcius.
