Connecting Families Secondary Years: Exploring Further Education
Secondary Years Connecting Families: Exploring Further Education
Parents and carers of secondary school‑aged children – join us for an online session exploring further education options for young people with a vision impairment.
We’re inviting you to an informative online session for parents and carers of young people who may be thinking about their next steps after secondary school. This session is designed to help families understand the options and support available.
We'll be joined by RSBC's Futures Specialist, who will share advice and answer questions about further education pathways. We'll also hear from a young person with VI who is currently attending college, who will talk about their experiences of making the transition from school to further education.
What we'll cover:
Understanding different further education options, including vocational courses, apprenticeships, and college education
The college application process and key considerations
How colleges can support students with a vision impairment
What to expect:
Practical information to help you support your child's next steps
A supportive space to ask questions and learn from other families
This session will take place online, and we’ll send you the Zoom details once you’ve registered for the event.
