Warsaw Tech Expats: Goodbye to summer bike tour
Before Warsaw weather decides it’s strictly indoor season, we’re going out on two wheels.
The idea is: a relaxed weekend cruise to soak up the tail end of summer, get some fresh air and chat with fellow tech folks without shouting over bar noise. We’ll roll out together, pause at a couple of scenic spots for photos (or just to catch our breath) and wrap up somewhere warm and lively for lunch & drinks.
If you came to the first couple of pub editions, you already know the vibe - zero pitches, no networking theater, just good people and good conversation.
The Plan
11:00 AM: Meet up at the starting point (aim for 10:45–10:50 so we can roll out on time).
The Ride: A leisurely loop following our Komoot route. We’ll keep the pace casual and conversational - no Tour de France auditions or Strava KOM chasing.
Photo Stops: A couple of quick pauses along the way to stretch, snap some city/river views, and let anyone who dropped back regroup.
Lunch & Drinks: We’ll finish near a solid food spot to grab lunch, refuel, and hang out.
A few things worth knowing:
Don’t have a bike? No problem: You can grab a city bike via Veturilo right near the starting point. (Pro tip: download the app and set up your account ahead of time so you’re not wrestling with SMS verification codes on the sidewalk at 10:59 AM).
All bikes welcome: Road bikes, gravel bikes, heavy city rentals, or foldables - if it has two wheels and rolls forward, you’re good.
Tab & rentals: Like previous editions, bike rentals, lunch, and post-ride drinks are pay-as-you-go on your own tab.
