The Larger Half Community is designed for working professionals who use AI on the job BUT don't write code. That's most of the workforce. And that's the larger half.
This month, we are excited to announce that our meetup is a special collab with Perplexity! 🎉
Not familiar with Perplexity? That's okay.
Perplexity is an AI company best known for its answer engine, which gives you straight answers with sources linked. Now they're building tools that do the work for you.
Their team will be joining us at STATION Austin to lead a one-hour, hands-on workshop on Perplexity Computer. You'll see a frontier AI tool in action, up close, and learn how to apply it to your own work.
What is Perplexity Computer?
"A digital coworker that does end-to-end work from a single prompt by connecting to the tools you already use, like email, calendar, and CRM."
Who specifically is this meetup for?
This meetup is for people who spend their time inside email, spreadsheets, decks, meetings, and docs.
Whether you work in Sales, Marketing, Ops, HR, Finance, Project Management, Product (a.k.a. "non-technical" work), this meetup is for you.
It doesn't matter if you have been using AI at work for a while now or are just getting started, we are here to get you to that next level!

What should I bring?
Your laptop. This is a hands-on session. Perplexity is setting up access ahead of time for everyone registered, so you'll be ready to go when you arrive. Bringing a friend? Have them register with their own email.
Why does The Larger Half meetup exist?
The Larger Half is about creating a place where we can all learn and grow together as AI changes how we work, and that starts with you in the room.
Doors open at 6 PM. Closing remarks at 8 PM.

What room is this in?
We are going to be in a different room this month: Captain America on the 8th floor of STATION Austin, which shares the building with the Omni Hotel.
Note: The building's side doors lock at 5 PM. If you're not coming up from the underground parking garage, use the Omni Hotel entrance on 8th Street (701 Brazos St). There are two elevator banks in the lobby: one for the hotel and one for the offices. Take the office elevators, toward the southeast side of the lobby, up to the 8th floor. We're in the Captain America room.
Where do I park?
Street parking is free after 6 PM. Additionally, if you want to park on-site, the Omni Hotel has an underground parking lot. Make sure to ask the host for a parking voucher. When scanned as you exit, it will reduce your parking to $8.
