About Event

You’re invited to join NYCETC for a special Member Office Hour on Monday, March 2, 11 am – 12 pm, featuring our new Federal advocates, Jen Manley and Chris Cummins of Park&K Public Affairs.

Agenda

Jen and Chris will provide an overview of FY2027 Federal discretionary funding through Congressionally Directed Spending/Community Project Funding — including the basics of the application process, strategies to strengthen your proposal, and time for questions in this interactive session.

Who should attend?

CEOs and Development team members are strongly encouraged to attend. Whether you are new to this process or have applied in the past, this session will help you prepare for the upcoming funding cycle.

For assistance registering for this program, or to request an accommodation, please contact Stephanie Birmingham, Director of Community and Operations, at (646) 866-7097 or [email protected].

Background

Congress has opened the FY2027 Congressionally Directed Spending/Community Project Funding process, providing nonprofit community-based organizations the opportunity to request Federal discretionary funding for eligible programmatic or capital projects.

Applications are currently underway. Both U.S. Senators from New York are accepting submissions through March 22, and the House of Representatives has released updated FY2027 guidance. Individual House members will set their own application deadlines, with some occurring as early as March 6.

Organizations considering a request are encouraged to review Senate and House eligibility guidance, available funding accounts, and application instructions through the respective Senate portals or individual House member websites:
